Who Am I?

Hello! I’m Mario, an Italian 79 years old wine lover, father, grandfather, and, by some stroke of fate, a TikTok and Instagram star. My life has been a winding journey, shaped by years of hard work, laughter, and a love for the land, especially the vine.

Born in Sicily, I grew up with a deep appreciation for good wine — it’s in my blood. From a young age, I worked on my family’s vineyard, crafting wine with my own hands, and learning everything there is to know about grapes, fermentation, and the joy of a glass shared with friends. But this isn’t just about making wine — it’s a passion that’s been with me since I was a boy, and it’s one that has never faded.

In my teens, life took me across the sea to Germany, where I worked hard and built a new chapter of my life. It’s there that I met my wife, and soon, I became a father. Four children came into this world, and they’ve all been a huge part of my life. The second of them was born in Germany, but after a few years, I packed up and moved my family back to Sicily, to Palma di Montechiaro, the place where my roots run deep.

For most of my life, I kept things simple. I’ve always been a reserved person, with a small circle of friends, focused on my family and my vineyard. My life was a balance of hard work and quiet moments. But somehow, in the age of the internet, things took a wild turn.

One day, in a mix of boredom and curiosity, I decided to try something new — TikTok. I didn’t expect much. I was just having fun with a few silly, ironic videos about my daily life, my wine-making adventures, and the little moments that make me laugh. To my surprise, people started noticing. My videos, full of humor and a touch of chaos, began to resonate with people. Suddenly, I had millions of views.

The success was unexpected. I’m just a man with a simple life, but apparently, my humor, my love for wine, and my unique perspective on life have struck a chord with people from all over the world. And that’s how I became, almost by accident, a social media personality.

Now, here I am, living between two worlds: the quiet life I’ve always known, and the buzzing, ever-connected world of social media. I’m still the same person I’ve always been, but now I have a community of people who appreciate my humor, my love for life, and my occasional glass of wine.

I’m not a professional entertainer or influencer, I’m just a regular guy, sharing the little moments that bring me joy. And if I can bring a smile or a laugh to someone, well, that’s more than enough for me.
